STAUFLICHT is a design label from The Hague that we - Jill Louise Verweijen (1992) and Steven de Kok (1990) - founded after our studies at the Royal Academy of Art. Our lamps are timeless glassware assemblies composed of a careful selection of individual glass objects. With retro, classic and futuristic elements, the lamps manage to provide every room with a unique atmosphere. Stauflicht gives its own, original twist to recycling; after all, there can only be one of each lamp.

We got the inspiration to combine second-hand glassware and design in Berlin, when we came into contact with the prevailing trend there regarding the recovery and reuse of vintage objects and furniture. As advocates of reuse and recycling, we see the potential of forgotten glassware as part of sustainable design.
